Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG) is a colorless, odorless, syrupy liquid with the chemical formula C₂H₆O₂. It is an important industrial chemical used primarily as a raw material in the production of polyester fibers, resins, and antifreeze formulations. MEG is highly soluble in water, hygroscopic, and known for its low volatility and sweet taste, though it is toxic if ingested.
